Kürtős Poppy Seed Dessert

The classic dessert of milk loaf soaked in vanilla-flavoured milk and baked with poppy seeds and sugar is probably among the top favourites of sweet-toothed Hungarians – no wonder its chimney cake version is among the most popular treats of “Édes Mackó” chimney cake pastry shop. A silky vanilla custard base with drizzles of poppy seeds, raisins and pistachios, and, naturally, pieces of kürtőskalács make up the final appetizing form of our dessert.
